About Us

Who We Are

We are a small speech therapy clinic in Nixa, Missouri, owned and operated by Jackie and Rachel, a mother daughter team. Rachel followed in her mother's footsteps after seeing the impact she had on others. Both graduated from Missouri State University with their undergraduate and masters degrees. Their combined skill sets provide a comprehensive support system as each has their area of expertise. Our combined experience and emphasis on family inclusion provides the best opportunity for success!

Jackie Young

Jackie has spent her career as a school based speech pathologist. She has extensive knowledge working with children and adults of all ages in the areas of articulation, fluency, language, cognition, and social skills. Her love of reading led her to obtain additional training through the Lindamood-Bell program. Her extensive knowledge of language and reading skills provides clients with the best tools for success.

Rachel Adams

Rachel's career as a speech pathologist has taken her to multiple settings including acute care, teletherapy, private practice, and outpatient therapy. Her experiences have provided her with opportunities to train students and families on AAC devices, evaluate and treat feeding or swallowing disorders, as well as address articulation and language skills.

Speech-Language Pathologist

Makenna Goodman

Makenna obtained her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Missouri State University. She has experience working with a variety of populations, which has helped to prepare her for the diverse career of speech pathology. Her passion for helping others has motivated her to accommodate clients in improving their articulation, receptive and expressive language, social, and cognitive communication skills.

Bailey Garcia

Bailey has dedicated her career to the field of pediatrics since 2011. She has a vast knowledge of childhood development and ways to facilitate growth through the usage of practical play skills that you can easily be incorporate into your home routine. Bailey is continuously expanding her knowledge through continuing education in order to better serve families, including sensory integration, developmental milestones, sleep, and motor planning/executive functioning. Bailey and her husband Victor have two sons, who have given her first-hand experience of the challenges and joys that accompany parenthood.
